Niue Acoustic Workshops
We ( I with a number of others) are putting together two acoustic workshops in Niue during the humpback whale breeding season off the island. The workshops will involve acquiring data using a towed array and various static devices from and FPOD and broadband recorder to drop down hydrophone and Gopro.
Niue is a unique location with sharp drop off into deep water and is a remote seamount with little anthropogenic activity. Class sizes are limited by boat sizes to a maximum of 10 attendees, with groups from the course of 5 on the boat.
